RPC#5 is out April 11th, but we sent out some advanced review copies to spread the word.

Byron Brewer of Cosmic Book News was the first to hit the digital presses with his review. According to Byron, the issue is "a pleasure" and "a wonderful comic!" Thanks for your support and enthusiasm, Byron! You can read his review for yourself here.

Following hot on CBN's heels, Geoff Arbuckle of A Comic Book Blog said "This anthology series has been incredibly entertaining with each issue that I've read!" As always, Geoff, we appreciate the kind words and appreciate your help in spreading the good word. You can read Geoff's full review here.

And get ready to pick up your own copy on April 11th. Issue five is a super-sized 32 pager and features four stories, including the conclusion of book one of VOYAGA, the continuation of LACES (from way back in RPC#1), a standalone superhero comedy called "The Perfect Moment", and the first installment of a brand-new series called HAPPENSTANCE.

Don't miss it!

It's rapidly starting to look and feel like summer around here and the convention season is coming up on us faster than ever, it seems!

We have two creators attending conventions this weekend:

Martin Brandt, writer of Laces (featured in RPC#1) and Kidthulhu (cover feature of RPC#4) will be at Annapolis Comic-Con at the Moyer Rec Center in Annapolis, Maryland Saturday the 24th and Sunday the 25th. He'll have copies of RPC#1, 3 and 4 along with copies of his Grim Crew Comics books (Dead Future and Grim Furry Tales).

Brandon Barrows, writer of Voyaga, will be at the Vermont Small Press & Comic Expo right in our backyard at the Winooski Downtown Center in Winooski, Vermont this Saturday the 24th. He'll have copies of Reasonably Priced Comics #1-4, SCIENCE! and a selection of books from other publishers.

Next month sees the release of Reasonably Priced Comics #5, featuring the final chapter of Book 1 of Voyaga, a one-off superhero comedy from Alex De-Gruchy called "The Perfect Moment" and the cover-featured continuation of Laces in a new story arc called "Dead Don't Talk". Below is the fantastic cover new Laces artist Martinho Abreu did for the new story!

Quick update folks, since it's been awhile!

First, if you haven't seen it, we have prints available of Ionic's beautiful painting of Dean Kirkland (hero of VOYAGA) exploring the jungle of the 31st century that appeared on the cover of Reasonably Priced Comics #2. We've had a few people asking if we'd be offering prints so we figured we'd give the people what they want! You can find the print by following the link to our store or go directly to it here.

Next up, a sneak peak of Ionic's newest painting! The cover for Reasonably Priced Comics #3 is below! RPC#3 features the first installment of WESTERN ADDITION, Brandon Barrows's (writer of JACK HAMMER and VOYAGA) new western series with artist Leandro Paganiban (ANIMAL CONTROL: SCU, DEAD FUTURE). You'll agree he's outdone himself once again!

Two updates in one day? Yessir, that's right!

You can read his brief review of the first issue here http://horrorhavenreviews.wordpress.com/2011/05/04/boston-comic-con-2011-indie-spotlight/. Thanks for the kind words, Shaun!

It's here!

You can read the latest review, from Byron Brewer of Cosmic Book News, here http://comics.cosmicbooknews.com/content/reasonably-priced-comics-2-voyaga. Thanks for the kind words, Byron!

A rare weekend update brings us the first review of Reasonably Priced Comics #2 from Geoff Arbuckle at A Comic Book Blog. Geoff had some great things to say about the book and its creators and we really appreciate the kind words and support!

The "money quote" so to speak:
Each of the three stories offer very different levels of storytelling. Voyaga is still the star, and rightfully so, but My Way's
straight-forward style puts a fun spin on the usual mob story, and The Communicators' art is absolutely beautiful.

Go here to read it for yourself: http://acomicbookblog.com/comic-book-reviews/reasonably-priced-comics-2-review/ Thanks again, Geoff!

And speaking of RPC#2, the release date is almost upon us! It's out 4/6/11 and will be available in both print and digital copies. Make sure to check our store if you'd like to purchase online. Or, if your retailer of choice doesn't carry our titles, you can also ask your them to order you a copy through Comics Monkey Distro.

Lastly, our sale on digital copies of Reasonably Priced Comics #1 is still on (and will be until the end of this coming week) so get ready for RPC#2 by picking up a copy for only $0.49 by using this link http://tinyurl.com/RPCMarchSale. RPC#1 contains the first part (of four) of VOYAGA, the humor strip "My Girlfriend is a Gamer" and horror story "Laces". Check it out!

Hope everyone's enjoying their weekend so far!

Two quick things today:

We're happy to announce that the line up for Reasonably Priced Comics #4 has been finalized. As well as including the fourth and final installment of book one of VOYAGA (by Brandon Barrows and Ionic), RPC #4 will include a cover-featured KIDTHULHU story by Martin Brandt and Jason Stephens, and a brand new crime/horror story from writer Alex De-Gruchy entitled BAD BOY.

We'll give you folks more info (and some sneak peaks!) as it's available. Right now, we're shooting for a late August/early September release for RPC #4.

Next, a note on submissions (and it's an important one). We've been getting a lot of submissions lately, which is awesome, but there are folks who are ignoring our submission guidelines and it's gotten to the point that there've been enough of them where this has to be said.

If your submission doesn't include a completed and signed submission form, which can be found at the bottom of our submissions page, it will be deleted unread. We know that sounds harsh, but it's the way things have to be both for your protection and our own. We know it can be hard finding a publisher, and we really do appreciate how much work you've put into your creations, but blindly sending form emails to publishers and ignoring their guidelines is not a good way to get noticed.

To those of you who have been following the listed guidelines, thank you. We really appreciate it, and keep the submissions coming.

We are always looking at quality story submissions for our Reasonably Priced Comics anthology, so keep them coming!

Folks were getting all excited watching the Oscars last night, but not us. No time! (Or interest, but I digress.) It's an exciting week for us, as we're sending Reasonably Priced Comics #2 to the printers this week.

RPC #2 features the second installment of VOYAGA by Brandon Barrows (writer of our critically-acclaimed and award-nominated series JACK HAMMER) and new series artist Ionic (artist on JACK HAMMER and cover artist for all our publications to date); MY WAY, a sci-fi story about alien gangsters and the pay day of a lifetime by Alex De-Gruchy and Robert Durham (writer/artist of several CAVEWOMAN one-shots, among other things); and THE COMMUNICATORS, a decades and generation-spanning slice-of-life with a twist story by newcomers Michael E. Nichols and Joshua Calloway. We're very pleased with the issue and we know you will be, too! The scheduled release date is April 6th, so check back here for availability or ask your local comic shop to order it for you.

We're also working on RPC #3, which features the third installment of VOYAGA; a brand new KIDTHULHU short by RPC alumnus Martin Brandt (DEAD FUTURE, STITCHWORK) and Jason Stephens; and a brand new series set in the post-Civil War American West called WESTERN ADDITION by Brandon Barrows and artist Leandro Paganiban (ANIMAL CONTROL: SPECIAL CREATURES UNIT). Right now, we're looking at a mid-to-late June release but we'll keep you updated when we've set the final date.

We're also beginning to put together RPC #4. So far, it contains the fourth installment of VOYAGA, closing out book one, but we're still looking at submissions to fill out the rest of the issue. We've gotten several great submission pieces in the last couple weeks, but don't hesitate to send yours in if you've got a story you'd like us to consider. Please refer to the submissions page for details on how.

Have a great week folks! We will be!
