Quick update folks, since it's been awhile!

First, if you haven't seen it, we have prints available of Ionic's beautiful painting of Dean Kirkland (hero of VOYAGA) exploring the jungle of the 31st century that appeared on the cover of Reasonably Priced Comics #2. We've had a few people asking if we'd be offering prints so we figured we'd give the people what they want! You can find the print by following the link to our store or go directly to it here.

Next up, a sneak peak of Ionic's newest painting! The cover for Reasonably Priced Comics #3 is below! RPC#3 features the first installment of WESTERN ADDITION, Brandon Barrows's (writer of JACK HAMMER and VOYAGA) new western series with artist Leandro Paganiban (ANIMAL CONTROL: SCU, DEAD FUTURE). You'll agree he's outdone himself once again!

Afternoon, folks!

This past weekend was a big one if you're a comics fan in the Northeast. Boston Comic Con drew a record 6,000 people over Saturday and Sunday our own Brandon Barrows shook hands with about a third of them!

Brandon reports that the con was lively and fans seemed to enjoy artists' alley and the independents' tables as much as those of the well-known creators. He also reported selling out of the first issue of Jack Hammer and moving healthy numbers of the second issue as well as both issues of Reasonably Priced Comics!

Matt "Doc" Martin, co-host of the Retcon Radio podcast (along with Martin Brandt, writer of Laces), interviewed Brandon at the convention and they talked about Jack Hammer, our anthology and other things. Check it out here! http://www.bonus-level.com/2011/05/04/retcon-radio-7-independents-day/

RPC creators are heading to more cons this month, as well, with Brandon appearing at Granite Con 2011 in Manchester, NH on May 15th and Chuwei appearing at FanimeCon 2011 in San Jose, CA the 27th through the 30th. Go out and meet 'em! They'll be happy you did.

Last for today, our new anthology SCIENCE! is shaping up nicely but we still have room for 16-20 pages' worth of comics. We are planning the book to be about 48 pages and we'd love to have you participate. You can go to this blog post for the full details http://www.reasonablypricedcomics.com/1/post/2011/04/new-anthology-in-the-works.html and please remember, all submissions must be accompanied by the signed release form on our submissions page.

Happy comic book day, everyone!

Quick update, folks.

First, Brandon Barrows (writer of JACK HAMMER and VOYAGA, among other things) will be attending Boston Comic Con as a guest this weekend. He'll be at table AA 304, and he'll definitely want to chat! He'll have copies of JACK HAMMER: POLITICAL SCIENCE #1 and 2, as well as copies of REASONABLY PRICED COMICS #1 and 2 and, we're told, copies of books he's done for some other publishers, as well. So if you're in the area, or planning on heading there anyway, stop by and see him. You'll be glad you did and so will he. You can more informa

Second, our planned-for-May sale went live today on DriveThruComics so we're turning it into a late April through May sale. For a limited time, you can get digital copies of both Reasonably Priced Comics #1 and #2 for a bundle price of $1.50. And don't forget, we're still looking for submissions for our new themed sci-fi anthology SCIENCE! TALES FROM THE EDGE OF HUMAN KNOWLEDGE. Check out this news entry for details http://www.reasonablypricedcomics.com/1/post/2011/04/new-anthology-in-the-works.html

Welp, we alluded to it earlier in the week and now we're making the announcement official: we're at work putting together a brand new title.

The new book will, for now, be a one-shot to test the waters for this type of thing, but we're hoping to make it the first in a series.

The book is entitled "Science! Tales from the Edge of Human Knowledge" and is an anthology, though, unlike our other anthology, this one is a theme book. As you can guess from the title, it's a science fiction book and theme is "things going wrong while trying to expand the boundaries of human knowledge".

And, since you asked, yes we are looking for submissions! We'd like to have at least four to five stories for this book and currently have accepted one for inclusion, so we're looking for at least three more. Depending on the quantity and quality of submissions, we may accept more as we haven't nailed down the page count for the title yet.

So, please, send us your stories for consideration! Stories must be at least 4 pages in length and preferably no more than 10, but we'll look at each story on a case by case basis. And remember, this is a theme anthology. Stories must be science fiction and fall under the category of scientific or academic pursuits going awry. Experiments gone horribly wrong? Absolutely! Interdimensional travel mishaps? Quite possibly! Space opera? Superheroes? Nope, sorry. You get the idea and the limit is your imagination.

All submissions must conform to the guidelines on our submissions page and please remember to include a completed submission form, as we cannot look at any submissions without it.
