RPC#5 is out April 11th, but we sent out some advanced review copies to spread the word.

Byron Brewer of Cosmic Book News was the first to hit the digital presses with his review. According to Byron, the issue is "a pleasure" and "a wonderful comic!" Thanks for your support and enthusiasm, Byron! You can read his review for yourself here.

Following hot on CBN's heels, Geoff Arbuckle of A Comic Book Blog said "This anthology series has been incredibly entertaining with each issue that I've read!" As always, Geoff, we appreciate the kind words and appreciate your help in spreading the good word. You can read Geoff's full review here.

And get ready to pick up your own copy on April 11th. Issue five is a super-sized 32 pager and features four stories, including the conclusion of book one of VOYAGA, the continuation of LACES (from way back in RPC#1), a standalone superhero comedy called "The Perfect Moment", and the first installment of a brand-new series called HAPPENSTANCE.

Don't miss it!

Michael Roberts has been a very supportive of RPC since our inception and he's been kind enough to review our most recent offering.

The "money quote":

The anthology series Reasonably Priced Comics continues to be on of the best looking small-press indie anthologies out there. With three issues now available to the public, RPC has solidified itself as an anthology that delivers quality material. And, trust me, I’ve read quite a few small-press books, and consistent quality is no easy feat.

Thanks for the kind words, Michael! We really appreciate it.

You can read Michael's review yourself here http://mwr.me/2011/08/10/review-reasonably-priced-comics-3/ and be sure to check out Michael's web comic "Next Door"!

The first review of Reasonably Priced Comics #3 is in and it's outstanding!

Geoff Arbuckle of A Comic Book Blog had this to say, among many other things:

"A couple really strong genre stories from Barrows with great art from both Ionic and Panganiban. Kidthulhu is just an endearing character that I want to see more of when he gets his own series."

He gave the book an overall score of 100%! Thanks for your support, Geoff! You can read Geoff's review for yourself (WARNING: SPOILERS!) here http://acomicbookblog.com/2011/07/reasonably-priced-comics-3-review/

Happy Fourth of July to all our fellow Americans! It's a beautiful day, and we're grateful after the rain we received yesterday. So get outside, do a little grilling, spend time with family and enjoy the fireworks tonight, where ever you may be!

On a comics-related note, we tweeted a few days ago about Byron Brewer over at Cosmic Book News's review of the new issue of JACK HAMMER: POLITICAL SCIENCE and just realized we neglected to add it to the site! Oops!

So if you want to read for yourself what Byron thought, go here and check it out.

The money quote: "If you like your comics action clever, tough and back-alley, the world of Jack Hammer is for you."

Thanks for the kind words Byron, and thanks for the support to everyone at CBN!

Happy holiday!

The first reviews of JACK HAMMER: POLITICAL SCIENCE #3 are in!

First, Michael Roberts's review over at his pop culture blog. Check out what he had to say for yourself athttp://mwr.me/2011/06/28/comic-book-review-jack-hammer-issue-3/. Michael is a Jack Hammer fan and a friend to us from the very beginning and we appreciate his kind words!

Geoff Arbuckle, over at A Comic Book Blog, gave the book "85% out of 100" and you can read his thoughts here http://acomicbookblog.com/2011/06/jack-hammer-political-science-3-review/.

The money quote from Geoff:

"I’ve liked this series from the start.  Writer Brandon Barrows added the right amounts of intrigue with some nice thrills.  I legitimately care that the good guys get to the bottom of this issue.  I am legitimately invested to see how this ends.  It’s no small thing to do this in an indie comic."

Thanks a ton, Geoff! Brandon and Ionic have worked very hard on this series and we're all excited to read the conclusion later this summer!

And don't forget, you can get your own copy of JACK HAMMER: POLITICAL SCIENCE #3 tomorrow, either in our online store or in select comic shops!

Hi, everybody, just a short update today.

Submissions have been closed for our new sci-fi anthology SCIENCE! We have five great stories, totaling nearly fifty pages, of science fiction that we are very pleased with. We're tentatively scheduling the book for an August release, but we'll firm that up shortly.

If you'd like to submit a short story to us, we're always looking at submissions for our regular anthology so feel free to check out the submissions page and send us your best stuff.

A new review of JACK HAMMER: POLITICAL SCIENCE #1 by a reader who just discovered us was recently published, as well. You can check out what John Lees had to say about the book for yourself by going here. From the sound of things, though, it seems like he's a new fan! Thank you for the kind words, John and we're happy you enjoyed the book.
